As COSART (South Andean Coordinator of Crafts) we begin our activities fomenting the production of handmade products and their support to the commercialization in 1978.

In 1984 we got formalized as a civil association without profit aims, with head office in Cusco city. We primarily work with organized groups in the interior of rural communities and of cities marginal districts in the South Andean and some other cities of Peru.

We are an experience of alternative trade, promoting the auto-employment, the income diversification, solidarity inside the groups of producers and inside their social backround. We worked in coordination with other institutions inserted in these areas (ONG’s, promotion projects, etc.)
